What was the highlight of Kinh Do Hotel
Basic hotel, but clean and friendly owners.
This is a family run hotel. The owner and his sister are extremely nice and helpful. They helped us book bus tickets, what sights to see around the city and even carried our luggage to the bus. The rooms are clean, and our room had both air conditioning and a fan. The WiFi worked but was not super fast. We took the night bus. After checkout were could take a shower in the hotel and even got towels, shampoo and some water with ice.
The hotel is massive, two buildings and multiple stories. When we stayed there we were the only guest (as far as I know) as such the hotel felt really empty. We rented a scooter from the hotel ( 100K per day). The scooter was old, various body panels fell off and it stalled a lot. However, it got us where we needed to go.

Friendliest hotel staff I found in Vietnam.
Friendliest hotel staff I found in Vietnam. The lady was very helpful and provided guidance on where to travel. They had scooters for rent for cheap prices. Also they arranged a bus travel to Hanoi for 200k which was cheap and convenient.

Very good place
Staff was really friendly and helpful. We could rent a motorbike, they also helped us to reserve a bus to Hoi An. Room was cosy, with small bathroom. Great price.

Great room and even better staff!!
Best few nights sleep I had in all of Asia after over 2 months travelling! The room was massive, super clean and very very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond for me during my entire stay. I was feeling pretty sick when I arrived after some mild food poisoning in Cat Ba and the receptionist gave me ginger and hot water and was often checking on me to see how I was doing. I felt like I was at home with my own mother looking after me! The manager was also super friendly and took the time to have a chat with me, give me some great suggestions for tours and travels and all with a fantastic level of English. Such wonderful staff! I rented a great wee scooter for 100k per day and had an amazing 2 days out exploring the beautiful landscape and scenery of Ninh Binh and also booked my forward sleeper bus to Phong Nha for 300k. Couldn't have been happier with my relaxing stay at this great wee hotel!
The wifi signal wasn't the best but it was no big deal!
